William “Billy” Armenta was born and raised in Tucson, AZ.  Right out of high school he joined the United States Navy and served for 4 years on an aircraft carrier. While in the Navy he worked as the Lead Admin assistant for the Chief Engineer of the ship.  After serving his time in the Navy, he remained in Tucson, AZ and for 5 years, and was employed at the State of Arizona/DES department as a case worker and determined eligibility benefits for individuals in AZ. He decided he wanted to work for the Division of Developmental Disabilities and located in Phoenix and for 9 years, he managed adults who were developmentally delayed.  After 14 years, Billy decided to change his career and worked with individuals in the SMI system.  He began working for Southwest Network (SMI outpatient clinic) and has been there for 12 years. He started as a case manager for 7 years and was promoted to clinical coordinator and have been in this position for 5 years, he supervises a team of 8 case managers and 1 rehabilitation specialist.

Billy is married with children.  He’s known his wife for over 16 years, and they’ve been married for 5.  He has a son, four stepchildren and three grandkids. When he is not spending time with his grandkids, they are enjoying spending time at home swimming, barbecuing, traveling, fishing, camping, and hiking. Billy enjoys football and is a dedicated Cowboy fan and likes to attend a game now and then.
