Looking for the Next Step? Discover Life Development Institute
Life Development Institute (LDI) has spent the last 35 years providing access to education for teens and young adults with learning disabilities, non-verbal learning disabilities, Asperger’s syndrome, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other social and learning differences. Through this venture, LDI’s residential program has become a foundation for its programs and a beacon of life for those within and beyond Phoenix metro.
LDI’s residential program is for students 18 and older who may or may not have completed their high school degree. In fact, the focus on transition to independent living enables students to gain a high school diploma through LDI, as necessary, as well as engage in post-secondary education that provides college credit, diversity courses, Cisco Networking Academy courses, and life skills training. This learning is further developed through residential living wherein students become accustomed to living with a roommate, budgeting, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and engaging with others as an active member of the community. Additionally, students explore career options while developing workplace skills needed for success. As such, learning to manage careers inside everyday life becomes a final focal point and step towards true independence.
